This was a containerised batch pre-pilot plant that was design and constructed for BASF. The plant was constructed in Cape Town and deployed in Santiago, Chile.

Herman Bührmann designed and supervised the electrical aspects of the plant for Paterson & Cooke Consulting Engineers whilst at Mapule Consulting.

The electrical design comprised of the following:

• LV Reticulation
• Industrial Automation
• Standby Power (UPS)
• Lightning and Earthing
• Surge Protection
• Lighting & Small Power
